Wedding Plans (and other stuff) in High Gear

Well, The woman and I are getting reasonably close to the big day. Five months away. Still plenty to do. We have to order the live turkeys and the spray bottles. Every guest will receive a spray bottle upon entry to the reception. Guests will be expected to spray the turkeys before doing any dancing. We've got to book the falconers. That's right. The fucking falcons. Instead of the overdone practice of releasing doves, we're releasing two falcons upon our exit from the ceremony. Then there's the pyrotechnics, the sword fighters, the burlesque troupe, the Nihilist Bare Knuckle Fighters, and the Pegasus/Unicorn that I will be arriving on. And of course, Tom is flying in from his farm to sing us Jersey Girl in person. Gotta confirm with him. Like I say, LOTS TO DO.

Add to all this my impending move in with Ker and the kid, a major building project at the house, the ongoing RP series, the swiftly approaching Roar Spoken Word Festival, and a few other web projects and it makes for a real busy year. I think when September is over I'll sleep for a month or two. Read a few books (something I haven't done a long while, much to my regret). Catch up on my photography. And then it'll be time to dive into the next RP series and The Roar '08. Do it all again. Ah, what the hell. A guy's gotta die of something. Head down, ass up for the rest of the year.

If nothing else, it’s a good way to die (though I’m sure there are times when it certainly doesn’t feel like it…all that franticness).

I have a friend with a dragon if you want to borrow it.
