The Three Day Novel Reality Show
Back in September, Book Television approached the Raving Poets and asked us to take part in the madness that was the 3 Day Novel Reality Show (here is my previous piece on the whole affair). It was a total blast to be a part of. A truly insane literary event/circus. I just got a call from Book TV producer Tate Young, and apparently the series is about to be loosed upon the world. The Raving Poets have their few minutes of footage for sure, but the real drama lay in the dynamic between the writers and the judges. Sparks were a-flyin' let me tell you. There are a few trailers available for your viewing enjoyment:

(More Popular, though Highly Pixelated!)
Book Television
(Less Popular, but Higher Quality Video!)
The series proper is an eight-part (don't quote me on that - I could be very wrong, but it's more than five episodes) melee of novel writing insanity, all filmed at a Chapters store in the south end of rusty 'ol E-Town. Pretty cool eh? Who knows, you might even see my ugly mug on TV. Here's the shit:
Book Television
Sundays starting,
February 4th @ 9:30pm ET / 7:30pm MT
Access
Tuesdays starting,
February 6th @ 8:00pm MT
CLT
Wednesdays starting,
February 7th @ 9:00pm ET / 7:00pm MT
So. There you have it. Check it out on YouTube. Comment. Vote the fucker up. 'Ol Tate did a bang-up job on this thing and it's good television. Check it.

Hello there. I've finally got this commentary engine up and running. I've also made a few other changes to the site. You might want to clear your cache - hold down the shift key while hitting the refresh button on your browser. Thanks for your patience.

What did the raving poets do regarding the Three Day Novel competition? Did many of the Raving Poets participate? I always go to your website and read all the local faves but am not from your city so can’t come to a reading.

The RPs did a special gig for the televised 3-Day Novel reality show. The gig took place in a Chapter’s Store in Edmonton. The twelve contestants did a performance thing with the band backing them up. It was super cool.
