New Work by Me and MG Creative

Been a while since I lit up this here on-again, off-again web log. I’d really like to get back to writing again…I seem to have lost my jam somewhere along the way to here. I miss composing paragraphs. I miss life before the idiocy of Facebook. I like Twitter but it’s just not enough sometimes.

Contrary to the rumour mill I have been busy lately. I’ve recently put the finishing touches on a few websites and I want to draw your attention to them.

Dramatic Situations

This first site I’d like to point out is Dramatic Situations, the website of the one and only Corey Wayne Hamilton, Edmonton iconoclast and one of the last great Canadian punks. He hired me to touch up his aging web presence (the site has been online since 1999 – that’s an eternity in web years). Corey wanted to keep it basic, so that’s what I did. Stop by the site and say hello. I promise he won’t bite.

Linda Goyette

The second site I’d like to showcase today is Linda Goyette’s Website. Linda Goyette approached me in May 2008 to build her a website that would house some writing as well as show off her estimable collection of published works. Life took hold of us both and we didn’t end up sitting down to actually do the site until October 2009 – 18 months later. By that time, Linda had another project lined up and was anxious to get a web presence established. She’s a fantastic writer, and a true beacon for the Edmonton / Alberta writing community. Positive, driven, and always producing work, she is indeed an inspiration.

Well, that’s all I have for right now. The commenting engine on this new version of MG.com isn’t quite there yet, so no comments for another week or so. Sorry. As always, if you want to get in touch, hit me on my blower.

Michael, Glad for your greater presence. Always enjoy your lines/paragraphs. And nice job on Linda G’s site. One fall a couple years ago, she was a burst of encouragment. Anyway, will be looking in. Cheers, stephen
