Rest Taken, Now Back to Work

Had a very restful "weekend off". Took a trip out to Elk Island for a little buffalo watching and hiking. Such a beautiful park and a beautiful place. A really nice time. Kerry and I spent the better part of a day out there with the dog. Tried to build a fire in the evening to no avail - the wood was far too wet. Nonetheless, we had a restful time.

And now I go back to work. There are events to plan and readings to stage. Thing one is The Roar Festival. It's going to be a three day clambake this year (last year's event was only a day), so it's a ton of work. Kind of scary, too. We have no budget. Only a hella good idea and a ton of talent and drive. That should be enough.

The there is The Rasp and the Wine, which is once again springing into action this spring/summer. I'm leaving the schedule open. The Rasp will produce and stage events when it sees fit. That may amount to two events per year. Maybe more. It'll be at my discretion. Our first event this year is a "masters reading", put on by Patrick Pilarski and myself. Hit The Rasp website for more information.
